No matter how strong and reliable the filtration system is, time to time it happens to partly change aquarium water, especially from bottom water column, where the fish waste products use to besiege. This time it comes to clean the bottom substrate, the decoration gravel, or else bottom decorative objects. To avoid massive fish stress of relocation to some other tank, we can use the inlet mesh strainer of the Siphon Water Changing Pump for washing the bottom substrate while partly pump out the polluted water from the bottom water column.

The strainer suction head can effectively absorb the fish dung and feed residues from the sand, at the same time clean the sand and purify the water quality. It also prevents the small gravel and debris from entering the hose, and has the dual functions of sand washing and water exchange. The siphon is equipped with a nozzle net inlet, pump bulb and discharge hose, and a small container self-priming water transfer design, which can achieve faster work.

Usage: Place the outlet pipe end into the empty bucket, to where the waste water is going to drain. Place the siphon inlet head into aquarium trying to achieve the bottom substrate under a proper angle. Squeeze the pump bulb 3~4 times and water will start to flow out of the drain end. Move the siphon gravel filter along the aquarium bottom to collect all the impurities. Be careful not to suck the tiny fish in it, altogether with the garbage. When done, just raise the siphon inlet head upon the water level - and it's it: the flow stops. Add the fresh water up to the proper level, and enjoy the clean aquarium till the next cleaning.
